Sunner hosts McDonald’s Global Leadership at its facility in Fujian
On 20th November 2014，，，，，，， McDonald’s Global Supply Chain SVP Jose Armario，，，，，，， accompanied by senior supply chain leadership team members from APMEA and China，，，，，，， visited the Fujian Sunner Development Co. Ltd. (“Sunner”) one of China’s largest breeders，，，，，，， processors and suppliers of chicken products. Hosting the McDonald’s teams were Sunner’s senior management led by Mr. Fu Guangming，，，，，，， Chairman of Sunner. During the visit，，，，，，， Mr. Fu expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to showcase Sunner’s vertically-integrated facilities and the company’s production chain，，，，，，， ranging from chicken farming to the management of feed mills to processing.
Since McDonald’s started working with Sunner a few years ago，，，，，，， both companies have been on a journey of continuous learning specifically learning through each other’s operating strengths，，，，，，， standards，，，，，，， expectations and culture . With a 30-year history，，，，，，， Sunner is today one of China’s leading companies in the broiler industry dedicated to white feather broiler production. The company has successfully realized its product traceability by leveraging its fully-integrated production chain. Through its track record and commitment to investment in high quality and stable supply，，，，，，，the company has become a strategic supplier to many distinguished customers including McDonald’s. In 2008，，，，，，， it was the chicken meat supplier to the Beijing Olympic Games and then again to the Shanghai Expo and Guangzhou Asian Games in 2010.
Sunner’s chicken farms are located in Fujian’s Guangze with 74% forest coverage characterized by good air and water quality. With no other chicken farms or production facilities nearby，，，，，，， the area ensures Sunner’s the health and well-being of its chicken supply. In 2013 and 2014，，，，，，， Sunner processed 210 million chickens and 280 million respectively. Its target production volume in 2015 will be about 30% higher or approximately 360 million chickens. During the visit，，，，，，，Mr. Fu talked about his confidence in Sunner’s rate of growth and its capacity to meet customers’ standards and growing demand for assured safe supply.
At the meeting，，，，，，， Mr. Armario expressed McDonald’s appreciation and gratitude for support. He also officially invited the Sunner team to visit McDonald’s in the US.
